Meet Cat

Hi, welcome to my website I’m Cat Holland. I’m a writer from Glasgow, Scotland; the place where the teacakes are made. I’m lucky enough to have a family that I love more than I can say, and appreciate the strength and support they give me, as well as the laughs and bants. This writing business would not happen without them. I love spending time holidaying in the Yorkshire countryside, visiting family in Leamington Spa, eating far too much good food and idling away the time doing nothing in particular. I enjoy a good binge-watch, especially anything supernatural. Whether it’s dishy demon-hunting brothers, a brooding vampire with a curse, or a handsome bearded hero trudging through the snow, thwarting evil in his black Ikea fur cloak, then I’m there. I’ve been writing since I was a teenager and aspired to be an author. Always an enthusiastic reader, I was never out of the library. My fave was Stephen King growing up, but I enjoyed a good Judy Blume or Jackie Collins (when I got a bit older!) Praise from an inspirational English teacher who told me I had a flair for story-telling, gave me the confidence to start writing, and I haven’t stopped since. For me, writing has always been a very private hobby. Most people who know me have no idea that I dabble. I’ve been clicking away for years, grabbing time in between bringing up my family to start numerous novels whenever an idea came flooding in. I never did find that elusive time to finish any of them, but I have had a blast starting them all the same. When the world stood still in 2020 I was left with endless amounts of hours to fill and decided to put pen to paper, finally dedicating the time I never seemed to have before to write and finish my first romantic fantasy novel. Within a few months Touch of Euphoria was well under way. When normality resumed, life got busy again. Nevertheless, Euphoros was always simmering away in the background and finally Beyond Euphoria was created. The third and final book, Fight for Euphoria is currently occupying my every waking thought. I have completely fallen in love with the romance between Lucy and Fabian, and I hope you will too.
